Conversion, Modifications & Repairs

When steel at sea
needs to be modified.

Converting, expanding, adapting, and repairing: five trades that interlock on the installation — from cutting and welding to documented bolted connections.

Scope of services

The details behind it.

01 — STEEL CONSTRUCTION

Steel Construction

Modifying existing offshore structures to meet new requirements — and restoring the load-bearing capacity of damaged components.

Conversion, expansion, and adaptation of existing steel structures

on offshore installations, during ongoing wind farm operations

Repair of damaged steel structures

and load-bearing components, following prior assessment

02 — WELDING TECHNOLOGY

Welding Technology

Welding at sea is only as good as the processes behind it. Ours are tested, documented, and verifiable at all times.

Welding work and repair welding

using GMAW, MMA, and GTAW processes - qualified through 16 procedure tests according to DIN EN ISO 15614-1

Stud welding

qualified through 2 procedure tests according to DIN EN ISO 14555

Repair and rework

of welded joints, including accompanying inspection

03 — ASSEMBLY

Assembly

Getting components into place — and back down again. Even when space is tight, the sea is rough, and the time window is short.

Assembly and disassembly

of components, assemblies, and complete steel structures

Assembly support

for third-party contractors and project partners on the turbine

04 — BOLTING TECHNOLOGY

Bolting Technology

Anything bolted at sea is under constant stress: saltwater, vibration, and cyclic loading. We tighten to the specified torque and can also loosen what has been stuck for years.

Torque-controlled tightening and loosening

of high-strength bolted connections, documented for every individual connection

Engineering expertise

In-house bolting engineers and an extensive pool of bolting equipment ranging from 5 Nm to 50,000 Nm for all common tightening methods, including digital documentation of every bolting process

05 — OFFSHORE INSTALLATIONS

Offshore installations

Everything that gets people and materials safely to the facility and into position once there.

Secondary steel

Installation of platform extensions, railings, and secondary steel

Boat landings

New construction, modification, and repair of boat landings

Landing systems

New construction, modification, and repair of landing systems for walk-to-work vessels

Ladders & railings

Installation and replacement of access and fall protection systems

Platform equipment

Installation of brackets, platforms, handrails, and custom components, as well as bridge bearing replacement

Lifting and positioning work

Precise installation and alignment of components and assemblies
